Chamber Announces Business of the Year Award Winners
Business of the Year 2009
MERRITT ISLAND, FL - The Better Business Development Council (BBDC) of the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce presented its Business of the Year Awards to seven area companies at its 21st Annual Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 11th, at the Cocoa Village Playhouse, Cocoa.
Over 100 chamber members, their families and friends regaled in the events theme Old New York Style. Emceed by Michael A. Cadore, President of Magnus Solutions, Inc. All nominees for the awards were recognized. Representatives of the banquets major sponsors made presentations to the winners.
Winners in four business-size categories were: Minority Owned Ask My Computer Guy; Non-For-Profit (Small) Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless of Brevard County, Inc.; Non-For-Profit (Large) Cape Canaveral Hospital; Service Industry (Small) Space Coast Business Media Group.; Service Industry (Large) Hoyman, Dobson & Co., P.A.; Technical/Manufacturing (Small) PIP Printing and Marketing Services; Technical/Manufacturing (Large) Symetrics Industries, LLC.
BBDC Chairperson, Theresa Zide of Manatee Promotions extended her thanks and appreciation to all of the committee members, judges and chamber staff that helped to make the evening a success. It took a lot of hard work by several dedicated people to not only organize the awards ceremony, but to compile the nominations, evaluate the entries and make the difficult determination as to which companies would receive the honor of business of the year. In light of the outstanding organizations that were nominated, choosing only one per category was not easy; they were all winners! she said.
